Organizational Development Practitioners Use of Research
I’m interested in understanding how OD practitioners use assessments in their practices. I’m not an OD person myself, but I’m a student of human behavior in the workplace. I need a few people who work or have worked in the OD field to help me pilot the survey. If you find confusing wording, please let me know. The survey is a simple Google form.
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, depending on your answers. No identifying personal information will be collected in this survey except whatever you choose to contribute. Your responses will be kept anonymous and confidential.
Portland Marketers Use of Research
I’m conducting a qualitative study on Portland metro marketing firms’ usage of marketing research data, and I wondered if you would be willing to talk with me about your experiences and opinions. I’m interested in all levels of experience, so you don’t have to be a marketing director or expert.
I would like to meet with you in person at some place and time convenient for you. If you are willing to be interviewed, please email me with a few dates, times, and places.
This independent study is not sponsored by any company or institution. The study consists of in-depth interviews with a variety of individuals who are involved in some capacity in marketing or marketing research in the Portland area.
The interview will be recorded so I don’t have to take notes. In keeping with best research practices, your data and identity will be kept completely confidential and anonymous. That means I will use fictitious names if I quote you in a report.
Full disclosure: I know it’s awkward asking marketers to participate in a research study about their use of marketing research, when marketing research services is what I sell. Research and sales don’t mix. I can’t think of any other way to find out this information. And yes, the information has the potential to benefit me and my marketing practices; but if I can publish it, the information can benefit many others in the field of marketing as well.
